Junior Designer

Courtney Bousman

Courtney received her Bachelor’s degrees from St. Ambrose University in 2012. She double majored in Graphic Design and Public Relations. Since 2012 she has been the Account Manager of Digital and Social Engagement at EventLink.

With a “diving in head first” mentality, Courtney helps clients cultivate personal relationships with consumers through digital/social marketing and Facebook advertising campaigns. Along with being EventLink’s social media guru, she also submerges herself in creative development, including complex promotional POS kits for upcoming events or a simple OLA banner for a website.

Beyond work, Courtney enjoys hanging out with her two pups, Charlie (Chug: Chihuahua/Pug/Wiener mix), and Toby (Puggle: Pug/Beagle mix). She also enjoys antiquing and home decorating.

A weird fact about Courtney is that she collects nutcrackers. She has over 300 of them. No joke.

Sr. Developer

Armando Bulnes

Armando has lived many lives. From dog walker to professional poker player, he has gathered quite the eclectic collection of life experiences on his journey. Philosophical but practical, logical but earthly, humorous but focused, Armando seeks balance in all aspects of life. Account Executive

Cigi Farmer

Cigi brings an exciting and unique background to the EventLink Team. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2014 where she studied Integrated Strategic Communications with an emphasis on account management. However, she attributes most of her account management skills to jumping in and getting her hands dirty, learning the work hands-on rather than in a book. During her time at UK she spent two years as a brand ambassador for Microsoft, promoted multiple concert tours, music festivals, and TV show launches. During college she landed a promotions internship with iHeartMedia, once her internship ended she was hired to do promo events, concerts, produce radio shows and even record a few commercials! She also interned in Nashville at Sony/ATV Music publishing and Nashville Songwriters association during the summer.

Upon graduation, she went to Los Angeles to do a project for the GRAMMY Foundation and was hired shortly after that project by Sony in Nashville. Logan’s Roadhouse (headquartered in Nashville) recruited her and gave her a unique opportunity to bring her Events, Marketing and Music Industry background to a union and asked her to launch their Local Store Marketing program. At Logan’s she was hired to essentially act as an internal experiential marketing agency. Building out multiple programs from the ground up and launching them all across the country, all with great results, ignited a passion for experiential work on the agency side. Although driven by end results and seeing hard work come to fruition, Cigi’s other passion is people and relationships. She recognizes that success comes from having great relationships whether that be client, internal colleagues, or field staff.

Why Chicago? The Second City and comedy brought Cigi to Chicago. She is in the Conservatory program at The Second City and absolutely loves it. Comedy and improv are Cigi’s hidden weapon in the work force (not too hidden though, she’s almost always laughing). Improv has made her a pro at thinking on her feet, a true team player and always finding the joy in any situation good or bad. There’s a good chance is she’s not at work you can catch her on a stage somewhere around the city performing. Does it get any better than having the best colleagues and clients around and getting to make people laugh with your friends at night?? Definitely not!

Developer

John Hackett

John’s passion for technology and programming began while still in high school. Mind you, this was the dark days before Google and high-speed internet – so it was a lot of trial and error and taking apart existing software to figure things out. Discovering that he had a knack for it, he began developing websites and writing additional functionality into IRC chats for fun as a teenager. After a few changes to his career path, including a couple years as a welder and union Ironworker, John went back to school to achieve a degree in Computer Sciences and Software Engineering. Since then, John has had the privilege of working in a wide variety of industries including e-commerce, marketing, civil engineering, non-profit, start-ups, and events & promotions.

In his free time, John loves to cook (especially if someone else is doing the dishes!), enjoys watching movies or catching up on the latest binge worthy show, and spending time with friends. John loves all types of music and enjoys spending a lot of the summer months going to outdoor festivals and concerts. He is also a dog dad to a 2 year old mixed breed named Dixie. It is no surprise that he loves to spoil her with new toys and walks in the park when the weather is nice.

Hank Marquardt

Before coming to EventLink, Hank managed a split career focus, spending most of the 90s in business operations in the banking industry and then transitioning full time to technology in development and engineering for the last 15 years. The calm, quiet one on the team, Hank brings a stable base to what can be an occasionally frenetic environment!

Outside of office hours, Hank is married to Susan and has a couple college students that call him Dad. He plays in a local original-rock band, likes to camp and fish, and a couple times a year likes to go hunt (photographically) snakes … yes, that last part makes some people think he’s a little weird, but we like him anyway!
